My name is Lauren

I’m a small-town photographer who really loves people. Infatuated with gift giving, Icelandic tundra, and capturing moments worth remembering.

About Me

My story didn’t start with a camera.

In fact, I didn’t really pick one up until the second decade of my life. The beginning of which was strewn with pursuing success, defining who I was, and running away from something that would save me. It was in the second decade of my life that I found love and allowed it to break, mold, refine, and redeem me.

Love allowed me to realize how perfect messy can be.

I learned to take one step at a time (rather than two) and to shut the laptop and look up. I learned to let the syrup spill and the dishes collect. I learned, perhaps more than anything, that life is about living the moments in between.

Although often forgotten, they are the moments where love exists most clearly. Love is in the ordinary and awkward. It’s more like sweatpants than tuxedos. Love is tough and imperfect, but worth pursuing wholeheartedly.

I’m often found crawling around on the floor of receptions capturing toddler twirls or watching for grandad as he plants a soft kiss on your cheek.

I don’t take photos, I capture moments worth remembering.

I’m a wife, a mother, a friend, a teacher, a hugger, a pun-lover, and a story-teller. I just happen to carry a camera.
